According to Dell’s Digital Transformation Index study, along with 4,000 senior decision makers across the globe, “45% say they are concerned about becoming obsolete in just 3-5 years, nearly half don’t know what their industry will look like in just 3 years’ time, and 73% believe they need to be more ‘digital’ to succeed in the future.”

The above statistics indicate that there is considerable uncertainty about life and work that lies ahead, especially in the wake of the pandemic. Given this fear of AI take-over and becoming obsolete in the workforce, it is critical for us to look beyond our traditional learning ecosystems.

Developing Emotional Intelligence

Often times, it is thought that domain expertise is sufficient to get the job done. More often than not, it is not merely domain expertise but a unique approach to solving business problems. So, in order to succeed individuals would need to see things through an entrepreneurial lens. This could be anything from taking mindful approaches to see the larger business implications, not cracking under socio-economic pressures and creative problem-solving. After all, it is this dash of creativity and an inborn understanding of people and their needs that really make us human.

Creating your unique Personal Brand

With the advent of LinkedIn, advanced analytics and other recruitment engines, an individual’s skills and accomplishments are constantly being gauged on public platforms.  This, in turn, determines the person’s capability and reputation in their professional network. Now that, targets and perceptions of ‘good work’ are always changing, individuals need to create and enhance their brand identities through continuous learning and networking.

Exploring new learning experiences outside the classroom

New jobs are being created everyday due to rapid technological transformation such as advanced robotics and AI. We see that traditional classrooms are unable to keep up with this accelerated pace. So, individuals need to explore new learning modules to develop a broad set of skills in order to become unique and successful members of the workforce. Especially, training platforms that combine teaching and innovative technologies instead of traditional lecture-based learning. In addition to individuals, training platforms would need to constantly re-tool to create individuals that bring something unique to the table. This is what NAI is all about.
